Great Gifts for the Holidays

Ohai guys! Here I'm going to include a list of some gift ideas for the holidays as well as some websites for gift shopping! Many of these sites I have gone to for Christmas shopping every year and so I thought it'd be nice to share these with you.

First I'll start off with some gift boxes:

Kawaii Box is a monthly subscription service (that you can cancel anytime) in which a box containing cute items handpicked directly from Japan and Korea are sent to you (or any address you put down). Its only $18 and the boxes usually contain 9-11 items that can include keychains, hair/ear/other accessories, stationary items, plushes, and whatnot. If you're unsure about such a service: I've put together a personal review of them. I'm currently subscribed to them I honestly think they can provide a perfect gift for the holidays. You can read my review here!
Here are some previous boxes that have been sent out to give you an idea of the kinds of items that are in the Kawaii Box:

Now for the Second kind of gift box:

I am also subscribed to Loot Crate. This is also a monthly subscription service very similar to Kawaii Box (again you can cancel anytime and send the box anywhere; super easy). The only difference with Loot Crate is the kind of items that they put in their box. Their monthly boxes feature video game and comic gear. Its a perfect gift for a friend who loves video games and comics. This box is $21 a month but has a $40+ retail value in every one of their crates. If anyone wants me to do a review on their service, just let me know.
Here are some past crates:

For the next gift box:
This box is again like the other two. My Lita features boxes that include sweet fairy kei accessories in their Lita box or creepy cute/gothic accessories in their Ember box. They have different box sixes: the smaller box is $25 and the bigger one is $39. They are a relatively new service and they just sent out their first set of boxes. Unfortunately they don't have pictures of their items yet (they don't want to spoil anything until everyone receives their boxes). However you can check out their affiliates to help give you an idea of the kinds of items they may carry in their box.

Here are some great websites to check out if you don't want to buy an entire box of goodies!
  • Think Geek -- Features a huge selection of geeky gadgets and whatnot. This is a perfect site to shop at if your friends are into comics, sci-fi, or videogames.
  • This Is Why I'm Broke -- is dubbed the internet mall. It takes the coolest/cutest/geekiest things from all over the internet and allows you to buy them in one place.
  • Etsy -- has so many kawaii and neat handmade items to choose from. Here are some of my favorite shops: Knicker Rocker, Miss Bajo, Cafe Sweeten, Loli Millie, Nastal Game, Little Banshees.
  • Storenvy -- sells mostly wholesale clothing items. But you can find a lot of really cute accessories and whatnot as well. Its a place to check out but I'm not sure it'd be the greatest place for gift shopping.

Happy shopping, Happy Holidays, and thank you for reading!!

November Kawaii Box Review

Hello! Today I'm going to be doing a review of the November Kawaii Box! This is not sponsored; it is purely for fun and also because I want to introduce you to their service if you don't already know about it.

So what is Kawaii Box? It is a monthly subscription service where you pay $18 a month to receive a box full of 10-11 handpicked goodies straight from Korea and Japan. What's really exciting is that you don't know what comes in the box that month until AFTER you receive it!!! I don't know about you, but I love surprises. Anyways, lets get down to business!

I started my subscription in late October and was notified that I would be getting the November box. It was shipped on November 4th and I received it on November 12th. Here is what the package looked like:

It was packed nicely. The box was a little banged up but everything inside was in perfect shape. Lets take a look at what's inside:

In total, here is what this month's box featured:

  • 1 panda sticker set
  • 1 pair of My Melody socks
  • 1 sheep 2014-1015 calendar
  • 1 box of chocolate Pocky
  • 1 zipper bracelet
  • 1 plush Pusheen keychain
  • 1 macaron cell phone charm
  • 1 small bundle lace stationary stickers
  • 1 set of little adhesive paper
  • 1 'OMG' keycahin
RATING TIME! *insert cute little emoji here*

Shipping: 5/5 According to their website, once shipped the box should arrive within two weeks and my box arrived just fine!

Content: 5/5 This month's items were beyond cute. It came with a good amount of items and I have found a use for all of them so far and am looking forward to December's box!

Quality: 5/5 All of the items are in good shape. Nothing has fallen apart and the socks even fit! (I personally think my feet are big aha)

Overall: 5/5 I am so happy with my box. The cuteness blew me away. I loved the handwritten note; was so nice and personal and the I could tell the box was packaged carefully with love. I am happy to say that I will continue my subscription with them and continue to give reviews on their boxes.

Please go check Kawaii Box out! You can subscrive and send yourself a gift every month or send the box as a gift to someone you love! I personally think its  great deal; you get a good amount of cute items for less than 20 bucks!
Thank you for reading. Have a lovely day!
